Although, for most triathlons, aero bars will deliver a gain on the cycle leg, bear in mind that you need to follow a few guidelines in order to make the most of this super accessory: - during your first outing, make sure you learn how to switch from your standard position to your aero position in order to prevent falls. - take a multitool with you during this first outing so that you can re-adjust your aero bars according to how you feel on the bike. Remember that, although this accessory will save you time, it must above all not cause any discomfort as you are liable to lose any time you have saved in the event of pain in the lower back or arms.
