We tell you how to look after your water bottle so that you can keep it for longer, follow the guide!
It is essential to wash your water bottle, if you want to keep it in good condition for as long as possible and, above all, to prevent bacteria from developing.
Indeed, after several outings, if it is not properly cleaned, signs of mould can quickly appear at the bottom of the water bottle and the odour of the isotonic drink won't go away...
To prevent all this, take the time to clean your water bottle properly. We tell you how, let's go!
After each outing: clean your water bottle with hot water and some washing-up liquid, inside and outside (avoid leaving any drink in your bottle as much as possible).
Remember to clean all the parts of the water bottle properly, including the top and bite valve without forgetting to remove the top seal. You can use a long brush to reach the bottom of the water bottle and scrub it to remove any remaining isotonic drink.
It's better not to put it in the dishwasher, particularly if it washes at more than 70°C.
Dry thoroughly in the open air with the top open.
Store the water bottle open so that air can flow inside and prevent mould from appearing.
There is no limit to the lifetime of a water bottle.
That's it, you know all you need to know for keeping a water bottle clean for the next time you need it!
