1/ CLEANING THE WATER BOTTLE

After each outing: clean your water bottle with hot water and some washing-up liquid, inside and outside (avoid leaving any drink in your bottle as much as possible). Remember to clean all the parts of the water bottle properly, including the top and bite valve without forgetting to remove the top seal. You can use a long brush to reach the bottom of the water bottle and scrub it to remove any remaining isotonic drink.

It's better not to put it in the dishwasher, particularly if it washes at more than 70°C.

If the smell of plastic or isotonic drink persists or if the bottom of the bottle is not completely clean, here is a tip for thorough cleaning:

-> put a small quantity of vinegar into your bottle with water and let it rest for 1 hour (no more as it may degrade the plastic). And done!

2/ DRYING THE WATER BOTTLE

Dry the bottle thoroughly in the open air with the top open.

Tip: baby bottle drying racks are very handy for drying water bottles!

3/ STORING THE WATER BOTTLE

Store the water bottle open so that air can flow inside and prevent mould from appearing.

4/ WATER BOTTLE USAGE TIME

There is no limit to the lifetime of a water bottle.

As a sport enthusiast, I did dancing for a long time before discovering triathlon, which became a real addiction right from my first race! I am a fan of Sprint and Olympic distances, and I like the variety that this sport offers both in terms of its practice and the environment in which I can grow. Triathlons offer interesting challenges to look forward to with pleasure as the key!
