Where to find phosphorus?

Foods rich in proteins are the best sources of phosphorus. The main sources are: dried fruits, cheeses, milk, fish, seafood and egg yolk.

Phosphorus and sports

Phosphorus is involved in energy production. It is also a major component of the skeleton, together with calcium. It is a part of the cell membranes in the form of phospholipids. Finally, it helps buffer the acidic pH of organic fluids.

Need in phosphorus

The recommended nutritional intakes for adults amount to 750mg/kg/day and 800mg/day for teenagers.
