I TESTED THE APTONIA RACE NUMBER BELT FOR YOU

The race number belt is an essential part of a triathlon outfit. The race number is fastened to it and it must fulfil the regulatory obligations of the discipline. During my last triathlon, I tested Aptonia's new belt for 2018. Here is the result of the test.

IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO WEAR!

When you first put it on, the belt seems a little heavier than its rival products, but you need to compare it under real-life conditions. Indeed, its silicone band located on the inside holds it firmly in position during the race. When positioned on the hips or at waist level, the belt stays firmly in place and does not budge, despite your movements.

IT IS PRACTICAL!

The belt has three fastening points (a regulatory requirement for triathlon) for the race number. It can be worn for the cycle and run legs. When cycling, just place the race number on your back and, before starting the run leg, just rotate the belt so that the race number is in front. The belt can be positioned very quickly and will not rotate.

IT IS USEFUL!

The belt has four compartments for carrying energy gels. Despite its weight, the belt stays firmly in place during physical activity. This is of greater benefit when running because the gels are easily accessible and do not require any unnecessary effort to reach them.

When running, the triathlete must not lose concentration, so the more comfortable the belt, the more it will be appreciated.

I really appreciated this new product and it has become my go-to product for triathlons. However, I also use it for trail running because, there also, it fulfils all my requirements.

I urge you to test it yourself during your next race.

Chrystèle

I have been doing triathlons for 10 years. Having tackled various formats from super sprint to Ironman, my preferred format is now long-distance. The two disciplines were I am most comfortable are cycling and running and of the two, I prefer running.

I am particularly strong on courses over hilly terrain. I love triathlon because it is a complete sport which brings together a number of the values that I share.
